This is a variation of the classic INDEX MATCH formula to which you add one more MATCH function in order to get both the row and column numbers. It can be either numeric text or logical value as well as a cell reference. A question mark matches any single character and an asterisk matches any sequence of characters eg MATCH Jo110.
